Install GRW license from the command line

Use this procedure to license a Genero Report Writer (GRW) product using the command line tool, grxWrt. Without internet access, you can register the license with Four Js from another machine via the internet, or by phone.

  1. At the command line enter the command: 
    grxWrt -l
  2. When prompted, enter the license number.
  3. When prompted, enter the license key.
    An installation number is generated and is displayed in the output.
  4. At the prompt: 
    Do you want to continue using HTTP ? (y/n)
    Enter: n
  5. At the prompt: 
    Enter your maintenance KEY (Empty to continue) >
    Enter the maintenance key:

Register the license

  1. To register the license contact the vendor by phone, or register on the Genero Report Writer website. See the procedure described in Register license on Genero Report Writer website
    Having registered your license, you have the installation key.
  2. At the prompt: 
    Enter the installation KEY (call your vendor to obtain it) >
    Enter: installation_key
